Meditation: Headspace, Managing Anxiety #7
Length: 11 minutes
Where: Bedroom, Los Angeles
How It Felt: Made me calm and present
Today’s meditation was basically a repeat of the last six sessions in this course, but intentionally so, which I finally understand. The guide talked about how essentially practicing the same thing over and over gives us a solid foundation to build on later. I’m enjoying the mental space, honestly, and the repetition has been soothing for me.
Not a ton to report today. Let’s celebrate Juneteenth finally being made a federal holiday, though! Man, it’s good to see our country finally starting to wake up and do better. Many may fight progress with all they have, but it marches on anyway, especially when we march along with it, pushing it forward. Small steps are good steps, but we know we have a long way to go!
Still, after the darkness we’ve been living in the last four years, it’s comforting to see small glimmers of light shining in. And motivating! We can’t slide back again, we have to learn from history while we live it, or we are, as we know, doomed to repeat it until the lesson is clear.
We are not into the sunshine yet- not even close! Keep going, don’t give up! Let’s leave this world better than we found it. Whatever it takes.
