On my way to Vegas but pounding out a blog post so fast!

Last night I was amped up and excited before bed so chose a breathing exercise from the Balance app. It’s actually really cool- you can pick from a variety of lengths to do the exercise (5 minutes was the shortest) and then you choose from 4 different types of breathing. Such a cool concept!

I chose 4-7-8 breathing, a technique Steve taught me years ago that’s helpful with anxiety. It was crazy though- the first 3 minutes I could feel my heart beating faster, the opposite of what I expected! It did eventually slow down and I felt more relaxed, but it made me wonder if, in the past when I’ve done this exercise and it didn’t work too well, maybe I just didn’t do it long enough!

So much happening today- this is all for now! It’s literally 120 degrees out here today, just wild. Time to go have some fun!!
