Meditation: Headspace, Finding Focus #5 Length: 11 minutes Where: Office/Guest Room, Los Angeles How It Felt: Empowering
I’m finally getting the hang of this meditation!
During the first one I shared that I could only bring myself to pay attention about half the time. I was so scattered! Now, I’m focusing on what I’m doing for at least 75% of the session. I feel my mind wandering but I can bring it back a bit more quickly. I’m working on it.
This is especially important for me right now as I’m juggling so many different things I need to get done. When you don’t focus on one thing at a time, it’s nearly impossible to a) accomplish anything and b) not get overwhelmed.
I also did the Headspace “Wake Up” session yesterday! It’s not a meditation but a cute little animation with a tidbit or lesson. This one was about finding happiness by bringing happiness to others, instead of going searching for it yourself. Very sweet. And look how cute:

Headspace is so good at the “extras.” It’s really a whole lifestyle thing instead of just meditating. I like it.
Plus look at all the adorable cats!
I’ve reached a “slow and steady” balance with life lately. I just keep going, I never quite wear down my list of things to do, but it isn’t growing either. I feel like I’m practicing for the pace of life when we aren’t so concerned with the pandemic anymore and can do real stuff again. Stopping to rest as needed. Not interested in burning out.
Just waiting for people to get vaccinated over here… hopefully we get there soon!
