Kept it short and sweet yesterday. The whole day was a bit of a mad race, with my own audition in the morning, then an interview for a great little acting gig (which I booked!), then my own auditions for the play I’m directing, then continuing to chase down actors for a part I’m struggling to fill with the right person, then plans for a night out with friends.
What a week!
It was lovely to pause and get present with my sweet husband and even sweeter cat, even if only for a few minutes.
I mean, look at this face:
Back to work today, sending out casting emails and setting up the final round of auditions. One way or another, I’ll get the right person! I’m thrilled with the rest of the cast and crew, and just can’t wait to get started with rehearsals!
Ah, the creative life. Never easy or comfortable, always worth it.
