Meditation: Balance, Relax

How It Felt: Like a release
Yesterday was one of those tricky days where you really need to rest and turn your brain off (and get off your foot, in my case!) but there is too much to do, so you end up half trying to decompress and half trying to stay productive.
Not the best use of a day, but what can you do?
This foot thing is driving me crazy. I don’t want to stop! I want to go for walks and do yoga and run errands and get ahead on things to clear room for the work and travel that are coming up (plus, show week next week!) But, I have to rest. I have to heal. I have to listen to my body and stop.
I should try to enjoy it instead of fighting it, honestly.
Ok, that’s what I’ll do. I’m out right now at a quick two hour training session downtown. Then I have to stop to grab some quick groceries, and that’s that. Everything I have until Tuesday late at night is over Zoom, and I’ll keep it that way! I’ll rest my foot fully for 3 1/2 days.
I’ll make myself relax!
I tried to get into the mood with this meditation last night, and it did help me to relax. Mostly because it was one of the last tasks on my list I absolutely had to get done for the day.
I’m committing right now to time for healing. I can do it! I’ll get into some brilliant show and catch up on some reading. It’ll be great!
