Meditation: Chopra, Creating Abundance: Living Carefree Length: 15 minutes Where: Home Office/Guest Room, Los Angeles How It Felt: Relaxing & Uplifting Who Joined Me: Steve
Day 17 Centering Thought: “I move through my days lighthearted and carefree, knowing all is well.”
Beautiful things are happening, and my heart is happy.
Steve, my wonderful (long-distance, if you haven’t heard me share that before) husband is back, and meditating together, spooning, having my best friend by my side again- this was the salve my soul needed.
Today our lesson encouraged us not to worry, not to feel troubled, but instead to stay present in the moment, lighthearted and carefree. Twist my arm, right? Feel happy? Light? Unburdened?
YES.
How many times in your life have you noticed when you let go and feel good, that’s when things just start working? When you worry, control, stress, things get harder and harder.
I’m writing this blog in the spirit of the meditation. I’m letting it be. Keeping it simple. The message is to not push so much. To step into the current and float to the next miracle.
As I relax into that feeling, small blessings are occurring. I recently thought about how I’d like to buy more plants for my home, and before I could even plan an outing to a garden store with Steve, a kind neighbor sent a text offering some of his abundant overgrowth.
That’s a small example, but a meaningful one. I’m choosing to soften and trust more. It feels closer to who I am. I can grow big and fierce when the circumstances call for it, believe me, but that isn’t the core of my being. I thrive in kindness, in giving, in beauty, in love. We all do. We are all our best when we don’t have to Fight. Everything. All. The time.
So….try it today, if you have the mental space to do so. See what opens up for you. See how you feel.
Relax and float….
