May 23- Anniversary

Meditation: Headspace, Breathe
Length: 3 minutes
Where: On the veranda, Cabo, Mexico
How It Felt: Peaceful

We celebrated our six year wedding anniversary yesterday here in Mexico. We spent the day by the pool, getting crispy, talking about life, and lazily floating around. We ordered poke and fruit and happy hour drinks until we got too red, then quickly grabbed some groceries to fill our little kitchen before primping for a romantic dinner.

The view, the surf and turf, the elderflower margaritas, the wine, the dessert martini made table side, the sweet tres leches cake brought to us on the house, the breeze and the waves and the company- all made for a perfect evening. I got to practice my Spanish, which has gotten a bit rusty since my summer in Ecuador! It’s still in there, happy to say. Afterward we went down near the ocean and got cozy on one of the soft beds the resort provides, listening to the water crash by the light of the full moon, talking about everything.

I meditated when we got back to the room, before bed, while Steve read. Our little veranda overlooks the “adult only” serenity pool and not a soul was out. Peaceful doesn’t begin to describe it.

Three minutes was all I needed. Breathe in, breathe out.

Breathe in love, breathe out the stuff that doesn’t matter at all in the end.

About to leave for our sunset cruise, so wrapping up this short entry! Feeling relaxed, lucky, and grateful. How can life be so amazing?
