Meditation: Headspace, Managing Anxiety #10
Length: 11 minutes
Where: Noho Park, Los Angeles
How It Felt: Warm and wonderful

Another trip to the park yesterday. I went in the evening when it was hot but not too hot and lay in the sun before doing a few miles around the trails. The people watching was great but the dog watching is always the best part. So many cuties!

I’ve officially finished the first installment of the “Managing Anxiety” course! Proud of myself! Life is pretty low key at the moment so it’s hard to say if I’m truly feeling less anxiety, but I think so! I’m sure I’ll go on to do more of this course, the more advanced levels, but I’m thinking I may also take a break in between to switch gears for a bit.

As mentioned in my last post, I’m currently rereading one of my favorite books of all time, Pride and Prejudice. I used to read this on repeat growing up, because Elizabeth Bennet is one of my greatest heroes. I loved women who spoke their minds, suffered no fools, and were quick and smart. It’s who I wanted to grow up to be! (And I flatter myself to think I’ve gotten pretty close!) My husband is doing a sweet thing where he wants to read books that have meant a lot to me in life, and this is a top three pick for sure. When I grabbed it for him at the library (no idea where my oft leant out copy ended up), I realized I was dying to read it one more time, too! So, I dove in, and now I can barely think of anything else.

All that to say my mind is preoccupied and I’m dying to get back to my book! The park was gorgeous, the meditation was wonderful (though I accidentally forgot to put it on DND properly and a phone call snuck through toward the end- oops!) Life is good, here’s a pic of some trees I took while lying on my back on the grass… and so on.

Back to the Bennets! And that insufferable Mr. Darcy!
